Power Outages: Please inform the host your power is out by phone or finding them.
Medical Emergencies: The hospital and emergency room is less than a mile away and equipped for snake bites, plus has a helipad for emergency transport. If you need help please call 911, then the hotel line. We will do our best to assist!
Earthquake or Fire: Please exit the hotel in the safest manner and muster at the back parking lot, or in the case of that being unsafe, the parking lot across the street. The AC/Heat Units may be pushed out if you can't exit via hallways safely.
We want ALL our guests to have the best time here. That starts with understanding the historic space. The HWHS are in a historic building which was built in times where space expectations were more economical than the present.
This means narrow hallways, bridges, small steps, and narrow/small private bathrooms in our accommodations despite the spaciousness of an efficiency suite.
All suites are located on the upper level public balcony.
They can be accessed by two stair cases at front of building at ground level or the parking lot in back which is on the upper level with the two-step bridge to the public terrace.
The parking lot access to the NORTH building 15-20 has two small steps and then a narrow bridge over the back alley to access the upper level rooms.
On the path from the parking lot to the SOUTH building 1-6 there are also several spots with raised bumps for drainage on the way to suites 1-6. Inside each Suite has a step up into the bathroom and the space between the toilet, bath,
and sink is typical for a 1920s design and very narrow.
We have plans to develop 8 extra large suites when the economy recovers.
